What I do:

Once I receive the photo/photos of your equine, I start assessing each one to select the best out of all. The best photo is cropped to the proportion of the selected canvas size.

I then start with the portrait giving every detail to capture the essence of the special moment. Each and every minute detail would be attended to maintain the highest standards of workmanship.

 The portrait would be a HAND PAINTED mixed media one using professional acrylic paint with many layers and unique brush strokes. I paint in impasto style.

 There can be an optional artist’s signature (or name of pet/special message) on the right bottom of the canvas.

I have done a lot of custom made horse portraits and landscapes etc of varied sizes. Contact me for more info on pricing and timeline. All I need is a high quality reference image.

Your custom horse portrait will be based on the photos you send me, so it’s important that they are good quality and show your horse’s character and beauty, as they help me capture yours/her likeness and personality. I recommend you provide at least 5-6 photos, that are crisp, well-lit, and taken from a flattering perspective. Making sure the eyes are captured clearly, is the one detail I take the most care of, and brings the portrait to life.

The photos should also show your horse's face and eyes well and not be too distant or too close up. If there is a specific photo of your pet that you love and want me to paint from, please let me know and send it to me with any other instructions or requests.

The better quality photo, the better I can capture details resulting in an amazing portrait.
